ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

Since a young age, I’ve had a passion for both art and politics. After growing up in Richmond, Virginia, I got my BA in Digital Art and Design from New York University before working as a freelance designer during the pandemic, supporting my clients with branding, graphic arts, website design, and visual marketing tools. I’m currently pursing my MFA in Design for Sustainability at Savannah College of Art and Design.

My design philosophy is to engage and empower others through design itself. It embodies justice, equity, passion, inclusion, and community-oriented design strategies that address the issues at hand and present realistic solutions. I prefer to look at things first from a systematic sense in order to try and understand the connecting factors that combine to create a societal problem. Attacking a problem from all sides provides a systems approach rather than lone products or singular ideas and addresses the deeper roots of the issue. I strive to always produce ethical, sustainable design, to examine and contend with externalized costs and unintended consequences, and to design through serving over profiting.
